Getting ready to present my first seminar in a few years. Naturally the requests were for something on Behavior Driven Design and good development practices. Although I gave myself lots of lead time I am still feeling the crunch. It is hard to believe I use to do the lecture circuit regularly.
Naturally I need to do some demos. I cannot just grab code from the office as that would cause all kinds of problems. Hence, some surfing to find simple challenges which I can use to demonstrate various tactics for BDD practicing. This has turned up a rather interesting list of places and I think I have become addicted to the idea of grabbing coding challenges to solve them in various languages. It really helps to have a task at hand to work through programming techniques and stay in practice.
As I run over these little sites I will keep updating the reference page Honing Your Programming Skills so I can use them as much as everyone else. I am looking for generic examples or ones for Java, Python, shell, and C. Maybe I'll add more sections in future.
